Hi @GadgetryTech, thanks for all your detailed reviews. I have a very specific question for you.
I’ve used Logitech headsets for years and currently use the G633. I tried the Audeze Maxwell 2 and Astro A50 X to move to wireless, but with both of them, the sound felt much closer to my ears compared to the G633. Because of this, I was disappointed both with the positional clarity and with the overall width and spaciousness of the soundstage.
Even with my current old G633, when I enable Dolby Surround in G HUB, the soundstage becomes incredibly wide, much more spacious and externalized. It feels almost as if the sounds are coming from around me rather than directly from the headset. I especially like its sense of direction, distance, and vertical positioning in CS2.
Based specifically on these criteria, I’ve narrowed my choices down to these four:
Logitech G Pro X3
Razer BlackShark V3 Pro
Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II
Steelseries Artic Nova Elite
My priority is not overall sound quality, but a wide and spacious soundstage, strong 7.1/spatial audio, a sense of externalization, distance perception, and positional accuracy in CS2.
Which of these three do you think comes closest to the G633’s wide, spacious and externalized presentation? And which one would you personally choose if you were in my position?
I returned the A50 X specifically for this reason, and I really don’t want to make another wrong choice.
Thanks!
