I buy Mac laptops instead of Windows computers. But my MacBook Air disappointed me because its RAM is soldered into it. That means I can’t upgrade the RAM. My Lenovo P14S Gen 7 lets me install up to 94GB of RAM and run an LLM.

Windows sucks Mac is better but I really wanna try Linux
Great vid! I think this goes through everything well. The only reason to this day I still use windows is because most software is compatible with it, otherwise mac is plainly superior. As a rule of thumb I’d recommend Mac by default for anyone with an iPhone that is not a power user of Microsoft Office and does not game heavily, with the nuanced exceptikns you include like touch screen, tablet mode, etc. Also great point about framework and other types of manufacturer innovations. Apple doesn’t just openly distribute MacOS so you can’t just purchase it like you can for a windows 11 ISO, so you will have to use windows or Linux in those cases.
And as a slight extension of your video, I think Linux is like an extreme version of Mac. You have far more customization and can make it very polished and have elite performance, but software and gaming compatibility is even worse than Mac. If you are someone who is very tech savvy and interested in linux, I would strongly recommend not buying a Mac, the apple tax is not worth it. Instead buy a windows computer (most commonly recommended option is a thinkpad, also try to avoid nvidia GPUs) and install Linux over that, and if you don’t like Linux, then installing windows back onto it is the same exact process.
Still prefer WINDOWS !
